Shillong, Sep 7: Meghalaya’s U-14 boys’ team won their opening match in the 61st Subroto Cup 4-0 over Maharashtra in New Delhi today.
Roman Catholic Evening Secondary School Mihmyntdu, representing Meghalaya, beat the Maharashtra school thanks to a hat-trick from Richanmi-o Lyngdoh and one goal by Givenson Suting.
The 61st Subroto Cup had its opening ceremony and first match yesterday.
Meghalaya will next face Gujarat tomorrow at 3PM at the same venue, ie the Ambedkar Stadium.
