Shillong, Dec 20: Langsning and Rangdajied United have set themselves up as the lead contenders for Group B’s top spot, and thus a place in the semifinals, of the inaugural Meghalaya State League after winning their respective matches on Wednesday.

There was no let-up in Langsning’s form as they defeated Pyndem Umbri 8-0 in the morning match in Bhoirymbong, adding on to their 7-0 triumph on Saturday.

Later, Rangdajied and Shilliang Umdoh were involved in a nine-goal thriller, with RUFC coming through as 6-3 winners.
