Shillong, May 7: The All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association (AMKA) has elected new office bearers for a four-year term, it was announced today.
Former AMKA General Secretary Hunlang Lytan was elected as the new President for the period 2018-2022 at the general council meeting held on Saturday.
Karate Association of India Joint Secretary Bidhan B Subba and Meghalaya State Olympic Association Executive Member P Laloo attended the meeting as observers. The meeting was presided over by ex-AMKA President Dr JS Jyrwa.
Brian Wallang has been named Working President, with Banshanlang Kharumnuid and Damang Syngkon as Vice-Presidents. Ksan Kupar Warjri is the new General Secretary.
