Shillong, May 31: Nangkiew Irat brushed aside an early penalty that went against them to beat Nongkrem 4-1 in the U-18 Shillong Premier League at Third Ground, Polo, today.

Bankerlang Mawlong converted the penalty in the eighth minute, but Nangkiew responded with three goals of their own in the first half, which were scored by Kitboklang Thangkhiew (20′), Mario Shanpru (24′) and Albert Nongsiej (41′).

Nongkrem have thus conceded three goals in the first half in each of their three matches thus far.

Nongsiej then added another goal for Nangkiew in the 82 minute to ensure that his side earned their third win of the season. Nongkrem, meanwhile, have just the one win to their name.

Tomorrow Smit are scheduled to take on defending champions Langsning at 3:45PM.
