Shillong, Jun 5: Nongrim Hills had a bit of a battle on their hands today, but managed to come through their U-18 Shillong Premier League match against Ryntih as 4-2 winners at Third Ground, Polo.
Ryntih took the lead in the very first minute through Dame Khongsit, but the lead didn’t last long, with Wanbantei Lyngkhoi scoring his first of the match in the seventh minute.
The lead then went Nongrim’s way with a 33rd minute goal by P Nongkhlaw, but Freedy Khongji equalised for Ryntih 20 minutes later, which was early in the second half.
Lyngkhoi returned with his second goal in the 73rd and Ban Kurbah made it 4-2 with another goal a couple of minutes after that.
Tomorrow Smit are scheduled to take on Nongkrem at 3:45PM.
