Shillong, Jun 19: Shillong Lajong won their fourth match in the U-18 Shillong Premier League today, besting Smit 4-1 at Third Ground, Polo.
Over at the JN Stadium, meanwhile, Nangkiew Irat and Rangdajied United played out a goalless draw. This was only the second goalless match this season.
Lajong bagged the lead in only the 10th minute through Dajied Wanshnong and Smit then equalised in the 19th through Rapborlang Warkhyllew. This was the first goal SLFC have conceded in their five matches.
More goals came Lajong’s way, though, scored by Amon Lepcha (24’) and Glennys Lynrah (29’) in the first half and Abhay Gurung (90’) right at the end of the game.
Tomorrow Nongkrem are scheduled to take on Laban at Third Ground, while defending champions Langsning are scheduled to face Nongrim Hills at the JN Stadium. Both matches will begin at 3:45PM.
