Shillong, Sep 10: The Meghalaya U-17 boys’ team, represented by H Elias Higher Secondary Schoo, won their second match of the Subroto Cup final round in New Delhi today, beating Uttar Pradesh 3-0 in Group G.
Glennys Lynrah, Sangti Janai Shianglong and Wadajied Ryngkhlem scored a goal each.
Tomorrow Meghalaya will take on Maharashtra.
In their opening match on Saturday Meghalaya had demolished Andhra Pradesh 16-0, with Ryngkhlem scoring four goals, Shianglong two, Skillful Tariang three, Benjamin Diengdoh three and Gladdy Kharbuli, Lynrah, Tremiki Lamurong and Jefferson Kharbuli one apiece.
