Shillong, Sep 26: Four young Meghalayans won bronze medals at the recent Sub-Junior National Kurash Championship in Gurgaon.
The championship ran from 20th to 22nd September, the Meghalaya Kurash Association said in a press release today. Kurash is a type of wrestling native to Central Asia.
The four medallists are Iarihun Nongkhlaw (below 24kg) from Pynthorumkhrah, Emiliana Susngi (below 32kg) from Mawpat, Richfield Wahlang (below 35kg) from Pynthorumkhrah and Teiboklang Lyngkhoi (below 35kg) from Mawlai Umjaiur.
In all the MKA sent 18 wrestlers to the championship in Haryana.
