Shillong, Nov 7: The Meghalaya men’s softball team left for Imphal today to take part in the East Zone Softball Championship, which will run from 9th to 11th November.
This was revealed by the Meghalaya Softball Association through a press release yesterday.
A one-week coaching camp was held in Mawkyrwat prior to the team’s departure.
Softball is a sport very similar to baseball and the MSA has been trying to promote it in Meghalaya over the years despite the challenge of funding and other difficulties.
The softball team will be led by coach Rida Lyndem and manager Jerinda Kharshandy.
