Shillong, Nov 16: Four wickets by Rohit Rai and an innings of 70 by Rohit Shah saw Meghalaya defeat Arunachal Pradesh by 63 runs in the U-23 Men’s One-Day Trophy in Cuttack today.
Meghalaya were put in to bat first by Arunachal, who won the toss, and they were dismissed for 185 in 46.5 overs. Shah’s 70 was crucial in getting them to even that much.
Meghalaya’s bowlers, however, were able to defend the low total with a solid performance, with Rai taking 4/14, Arbin Singh 3/27, Akash Choudhary 2/25 and Anish Charak 1/8, for Arunachal to be bowled out for 122.
