Shillong, Nov 24: Meghalaya Muay Thai martial artists won three gold, six silver and three bronze medals at the Senior National Muay Thai Championship & Pro India Muay Thai League in Mangalore.
The four-day competition was organised by the Muay Thai Association of Karnataka and ran from 19th to 23rd November, a press release from the Muay Thai Association of Meghalaya said today.
The Meghalaya contingent was led by MTAM President Angelus Sun, who is also an international referee and judge and qualified coach.
Meghalaya medallists:
Gold – Alfred Watklet Riahtam (45kg Elite Class); Dauni Nongrum (57kg Elite Class); Pynnehbor Mylliemngap (51kg Elite Class)
Silver – Bantiplang Khongwir (63kg Amateur Class); Babit Kharsahnoh (48kg Elite Class); Alvaric Kharkongor (71kg Elite Class); Badakara Mylliemngap (45kg Elite Class); Ibankyntiew Khymdeit (45kg Amateur Class); Phibarihun Mary Mawlong (60kg Amateur Class)
Bronze – Phibashisha Kharmuti (48kg Amateur Class); Blaseibok Kharbuli (48kg Amateur Class); Tonroi Suting (54kg Amateur Class)
