Cricket roundup: Meghalaya made to slog in the field by Bihar

Shillong, Jan 29: Meghalaya had a long day in the field against Bihar on the third day of their Ranji Trophy match in Patna, as the hosts batted throughout the day to post 359/4 at stumps, leading by 388.

Resuming on 67/2, Bihar’s Yashaswi Rishav (150) and Rahmat Ullah (105 not out) both hit centuries. Guest-professional Ravi Teja, who dismissed Rishav, and Aditya Singhania were the only bowlers who managed to bag a wicket today.

Meanwhile, Meghalaya began their U-23 Col CK Nayudu Trophy game against Sikkim in Guwahati today.

Sikkim won the toss and chose to field and Meghalaya were in a spot of bother at 78/6 when Anish Charak (64) Adarsh Joshi (20) came together at the crease. The pair put on 71 together and another 46 from Mukesh Ray saw Meghalaya to 219 all out.

In their first innings, Sikkim reached 59/2 by stumps, trailing by 160. Elchiang Ch Momin (1/13) and Kishan Lyngdoh (1/15) were the wicket-takers.
