Shillong, Feb 3: Nagaland defeated Meghalaya by 68 runs in their U-23 Women’s One-Day Trophy match in Cuttack today.
Meghalaya won the toss and elected to field and were able to restrict Nagaland to 201/8 in their 50 overs.
Deiphibapynshngain L Mawnai (2/31) and Sandria Momin (2/35) were the pick of the bowlers, claiming two wickets each and they were also the most economical. Riticia Nongbet also took one wicket (1/36), while there were three run outs, two effected by Neha Hajong and one by Luiza Tamang.
Tamang struck 58 in the chase, which was the highest score among the two teams, but other batsmen struggled to get going and Meghalaya were all out for 133.
