Shillong, Dec 9: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma laid the foundation stone for a new indoor stadium in Jongksha, East Khasi Hills, today in the company of Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh.
“In line with the sports and youth policy we are developing infrastructure across Meghalaya and we dedicate all our efforts to the youth and people of our state,” Sangma said on the occasion.
The Rs 22 crore stadium at Madan Tukhon is being funded by the North Eastern Council and Meghalaya government. It will be completed by 2022, the CM informed.
