Shillong, Mar 7: Lamare SC defeated Friends United 3-0 in the final of the Open to All Knockout Football Tournament in Umsning yesterday.
The event was organised by Fabulous Four. Sports & Youth Affairs Minister Banteidor Lyngdoh presented the trophy to the champions.
The goals were scored by Fullmoon Mukhim, Nickelson Bina and Dibin Nongspung.
As champions, Lamare were awarded a cheque of Rs 1 lakh. Friends United received Rs 30,000.
The top scorer award went to Donlad Diengdoh, while the Best Goalkeeper gong was awarded to Siwel Rymbai. Pynbha Suting was named Best Player. All three played for Lamare.
