Shillong, Apr 10: Friends Sporting United became the champions of the PFR Veteran Cup after defeating Mawkyrwat Veteran in the final at Malki Ground here today.
Full time in the match ended all square at 0-0 and Friends Sporting Utd finally came through a mammoth penalty shootout as 8-7 victors.
The champion team’s Kyrshan Lyngdoh was also named player-of-the-tournament.
