Shillong, Jun 27: The Assam Rifles has invited online applications for 131 vacancies under the sports quota for 2021. The online application server opened yesterday and the last date to receive applications will be 25th July.

The posts of Rifleman/Riflewoman (General Duty) are open to male and female Indian citizens. Those interested should visit www.assamrifles.gov.in for more information or phone 03642705933/03642705403 between 9AM and 5:30PM on working days.
The recruitment rally will, tentatively, be held on 24th August at the Assam Rifles headquarters in Laitkor, depending on the Covid-19 situation.
There is a Rs 100 application fee for male general and OBC candidates. Female applicants and those from Scheduled Tribe or Scheduled Caste backgrounds will not have to pay the fee.
General and OBC candidates should be between the ages of 18 and 28 and ST/SC candidates between 18 and 33 as of 1st August 2021. All applicants should have at least matriculated from a recognised educational board. Those who apply should also have participated in an international competition, national competition, inter-university tournament, national events for schools or have achieved a national award in the physical efficiency drive.
