Shillong, Dec 3: After a prolonged break (the last group match was on 24th November), the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division quarterfinal round began today with Mawtawar defeating Rynjah 2-0 at Polo Ground here.
Fedrick Lyngdoh bagged the opening goal in the 31st minute, with Jerry Khongsit netting the second in the 37th.
Mawtawar had been Group A toppers, with Rynjah the second-best team from Group B.
