Shillong, Jan 20: Laitkor defeated Laitkyrhong 2-1 in Group B of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division at Third Ground, Polo, today.
Sondyfelix Kharkongor put Laitkor into the lead in the 33rd minute but Banribok Rynjah equalised for Laitkyrhong in the 55th.
Laitkor found the winner, however, eight minutes later via a goal by Risuklang Malngiang.
There will be no match tomorrow on account of the 50th anniversary of Meghalaya’s statehood.
