Shillong, Mar 6: The Meghalaya Wushu Association has expressed its happiness for martial artist Lamphrang Kharsahnoh, who has been inducted into the Assam Rifles through his exploits in wushu.

Kharsahnoh won a bronze medal in wushu for Meghalaya in the North East Olympics in 2018 (pictured at a felicitation programme in Shillong afterwards), silver for India in the Asian Kickboxing Confederation Championships in 2018 and gold for Meghalaya at the National Kickboxing Federation Cup 2020-21.

Through a press release, the MWA also congratulated other state athletes – Nalangki Iakai (boxing), Jefferson Ranee (boxing) and Ribet Dkhar (athletics) – who were also chosen by Assam Rifles from different disciplines.

The association encouraged other youngsters to look up to these individuals and to be patient and work hard if they want to follow them in achieving their goals.
