Shillong, Mar 26: The Shillong Sports Association’s First Division began with an entertaining 1-1 draw between Umphyrnai (black) and Lawsohtun (blue) at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
Lawsohtun went into half time leading through Khlainbor Sohtun, who scored on the brink of the break.
However, Umphyrnai, who were promoted from 2019’s Second Division, equalised in the 87th minute via Pyndapborlang Kharmawphlang, a goal that thrilled their considerable number of supporters at the ground.
