Shillong, Jun 18: Meghalaya suffered a heavy 15-1 defeat at the hands of Bihar in Group C of the Junior Girls National Football Championship in Guwahati today.
Makrisha Songthiang (49′) scored Meghalaya’s only goal of the day.
The team will next be up against Madhya Pradesh on Monday. Also in Group C are Telangana and Delhi. Meghalaya will meet the latter two on 24th June and 26th June respectively. All of these matches will be at the SAI Field in Paltan Bazar, Guwahati.
