Shillong, Aug 12: Shaiborlang Kharpan has signed for Rajasthan United ahead of the upcoming I-League season.
Kharpan makes the switch after two seasons with Sudeva Delhi, for whom he featured in 11 I-League matches in 2020-21 and only six in 2021-22.
Sudeva were able to finish only 11th out of 13 participating clubs last season. Rajasthan United, on the other hand, ended their campaign in sixth position in their maiden season of the I-League.
Kharpan had joined Sudeva from Indian Super League side Kerala Blasters, who signed him up from Shillong Lajong in 2018.
The 26-year-old forward played for the Blasters in the local Kerala league and national Second Division League but was unable to break through into the main ISL team.
At Rajasthan, Kharpan will have former Lajong team mate Novin Gurung for company.
