Shillong, Dec 27: Shillong Lajong were held to another draw in the All India Football Federation’s U-17 boys’ Elite League, this time by Gauhati Town Club, in Imphal today.
Lajong seized control of the Group D fixture with a 74th minute goal by Varjelous Shylla, who had come on as a substitute in the first half.
However, GTC found the equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time via Parash Thapa to prevent Lajong taking full points.
The Shillong team had drawn their opener 0-0 with Classic Football Academy on 23rd December.
The two draws mean that Lajong are fourth in the five-club group, ahead of only GTC.
SLFC will next face East Bengal on Thursday.
