Shillong, Jun 16: The Knockout Football Tournament organised by Ri Khasi SCSC began yesterday with Oste Phi Oiñ (A) winning the opening fixture against Sunset Valley 4-0 at Madan Kurkalang, Bhoirymbong.
All four goals were scored in the second half, with a brace each for Donlad Diengdoh (46′, 72′) and Risuk Malngiang (59′, 69′).
Oste Phi Oiñ’s Lastborn Mawphniang was the Player of the Match.
The chief guest at the opening ceremony was former Umroi MLA Ngaitlang Dhar.
The next match will take place tomorrow between Pahamrioh and Ri Syon.
