Shillong, Jun 27: Meghalaya, represented by the All Meghalaya Karate-Do Association, finished third at the NESKFI 8th North East India Karate Championship 2023, held in Guwahati on Sunday.
Meghalaya won 2 gold, 6 silver and 17 bronze medals at the event, which was organised by the Assam State Karate Association.
Seventy-eight AMKA karatekas represented Meghalaya at the championship, which was held at the Karmabir Nabin Chandra Bordoloi Indoor Stadium.
In a release, AMKA congratulated all the medallists, karatekas, coaches and managers who participated.
