Shillong, Aug 1: Meghalaya Police reached the quarterfinals of the 7th Invitation Wahiajer Football Tournament 2023 at Wahiajer Stadium yesterday by beating Para-i FC 2-1 in the second round.
To do so the cops had to come from a goal down after Tiplang Rasmut (13′) put their opponents ahead.
MLP’s scorers were Chesterfield Nongdhar (19′) and Rapborlang Marwein (47′). Their team mate Hesmanwell L Marshillong was named Player of the Match.
The next game will be held on 5th August between Larnai SC and Sikai FC at 3PM.
