Shillong, Sep 5: A Wadajied Ryngkhlem hat-trick ensured that Iongshiwiat FC reached the final of the 7th Invitation Wahiajer Football Tournament 2023 by beating Sikai FC 3-2 in an engaging last-four match at Wahiajer Stadium.
Ryngkhlem scored in the 6th, 26th and 94th minutes, with the last goal coming in extra time after 90 minutes ended all square at 2-2.
Sikai came from two goals down to level proceedings thanks to goals by Melvin Lyngdoh (38′) and Rimi Pyrtuh (60′).
Details regarding the second semifinal will be intimated by the organisers later.
