Shillong, Oct 14: Rynjah SC were the biggest winners today in the Shillong Sports Association’s Third Division with a whopping 6-0 victory over Lumdiengjri SC in Group D at Polo here.
In another big result, Krang SC defeated Umlyngka SC 5-2 in Group A, while Lawmali Pyllun SC vs Tynring SC ended 0-0 in Group C while Lumparing SC and Mawpat SC played out a 1-1 draw in Group D.
Lumdiengjri had no answer to Rynjah, who scored at First Ground thanks to braces by Wanshailang Warjri (4′, 49′) and Hasken Roi Kharsati (17′, 70′) and individual goals from Dameki Tariang (77′) and Peacemaker Lyngdoh (79′).
In the first match of the day, also at First Ground, Krang were set for a lopsided win in their favour as they went 5-0 up through Kynsaining Thangmaw (8′), Willjohn Kyrsien (16′), Kyrpanglang Mawlong (20′, 61′) and Kostarfield K Budnah (60′). However, Umlyngka managed to claw two goals back via Albin Jyrwa (66′) and Riewdonsap Swer (69′).
The two draws were both 1PM kick-offs. Lawmali Pyllun and Tynring failed to find any breakthroughs at Third Ground, while it took until the second half at First Ground before Mawpat found a goal thanks to Isatip Isamon (52′) before Iainehskhem Nongdhar (68′) equalised for Lumparing.
