Shillong, Nov 23: Mawtawar SC had it all their own way in Group A of the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2023, winning 5-0 against Laitlyngkot SC at Third Ground, Polo, here today.
The other fixture, also in Group A, saw Sohryngkham SC come from behind to beat Jongksha SC 2-1.
Steward Ryntong scored a hat-trick for Mawtawar, producing goals in the ninth, 34th and 87th minutes. His team mates Larrykardson Lyngdoh (65′) and Teibhalang Kharpuri (80′) scored the other goals.
In the other fixture, Jongksha owned the first half and claimed the lead through Nangiarkam Kshiar (22′) but Sohryngkham fought back in the second to win with two goals in the space of six minutes via Wanbok Dkhar (76′) and Wanlambha Kharpran (82′).
