Shillong, Nov 29: A brace of goals by Libesstar Nongkynrih gave Laitlyngkot SC a 2-0 victory against Sohiong SC in the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2023 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Nongkynrih scored a goal in each half in the 10th and 61st minutes of the Group A match.
Later, Mawtawar SC and Jongksha SC were involved in a four-goal draw that ended 2-2, also in Group A.
After a goalless first half, Jongksha took a 2-0 lead in a matter of minutes through Jopborlang Khongsngi (56′) and Babiang Umsong (65′) before Mawtawar clawed their way back to level pegging thanks to Fedrick Lyngdoh (69′) and Ronaldo Rangslang (80′).
