Shillong, Nov 30: Umphrup SC and Nongrah SC both won their Group B matches today by resounding margins in the Shillong Sports Association’s Second Division 2023 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Umphrup trounced Imson SC 5-1 before Nongrah beat Lumshyiap SC 3-0.
The morning contest saw Bannongkiew Khriem (43′, 68′) score a brace for Umphrup and there were also goals for Freddy Kharbyngar (25′), Shanme Warlarpih (31′) and Nangpynkhraw Kshiar (45′).
Imson’s only goal came in the 45th minute via Micheal Kshiar.
Later, Dawandappura Pathaw (46′, 79′) and Shanbok Marboh (50′) scored in Nongrah’s victory.
