Shillong, Jan 14: The 5th Meghalaya Games is all set to begin formally on Monday with the last batch of athletes and officials arriving in the host city of Tura today morning.
The Games are set to run from 15th to 20th January, though the football events have already started.
President of India Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Games at the PA Sangma Stadium. The opening ceremony is set to begin at 4:30PM.
Close to 3000 athletes are participating in this edition of the Meghalaya Games, which is being taken outside Shillong for the very first time, across 23 disciplines that will be conducted in 16 venues across Tura town.
