Shillong, Jun 19: Lotus Secondary School and Dkhiah East Secondary School won their respective semifinals at Madan Deinchynrum and will meet in the U-17 girls’ title match of the District Level Subroto Mukherjee Cup 2024 in East Jaintia Hills.
Both sides won their semis by resounding margins, with Lotus SS defeating Lumshyrmit Niamtre Upper Primary School 4-0, while Dkhiah East SS were 6-0 victors over Musniang SS.
Dewakapaya Dkhar scored in the 23rd minute for Lotus, followed by a brace for Alisha Lyngdoh (41′, 52′) and one goal by Saphapaya Lyngdoh (59′).
Amethis Ramvulmoll Darnei (54′, 55′, 59′) scored a hat-trick in double quick time for Dkhiah East, with an earlier brace from Ngaisaldame Darnei (10′, 49′) as well as a 51st minute own goal.
