Shillong, Jun 28: Madan S&CC and Mawnianglah Youth SC won their respective matches in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2024 at First Ground, Polo here today.
In Group C, Madan S&CC defeated Golflink SC 3-1, while Mawnianglah blanked Mawlyngngad SC 2-0 in Group B.
Phermanbha Lyngdoh scored a brace for Madan S&CC. He scored his first goal in the 18th minute before Golflink’s Willborn Langstieh (19′) equalised soon after. Two goals in the second half by Anderson Nongkynrih (61′) and Phermanbha (67′) swung the result Madan S&CC’s way.
Later, Frenchester Nongkhlaw (17′, 21′) scored twice in the first half to give Mawnianglah Youth victory over Mawlyngngad.
