Shillong, Jun 30: Lamerphylla Damesha Kharsati (pictured far right on the podium) secured a bronze medal in the 23rd Milo Open International Karate Tournament, which was held in Kuala Lumpur.
The tournament began on 26th June and concluded today.
Competing in the kumite (sparring) -68kg senior female category, Lamerphylla showcased exceptional skill and determination throughout the tournament.
Her success in this highly competitive environment is a testament to her months of rigorous training, unwavering dedication and relentless perseverance.
“Competing on an international stage and securing a medal is a significant milestone in my career,” Lamer, who is an assistant instructor at a karate academy in New Delhi, said. “I am grateful for the opportunity to represent India and will continue to strive for excellence in future competitions.”
