Shillong, Jul 4: Diengpasoh SC were the big winners in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2024 in Polo today, beating Mawkasiang SC 5-1, with the other two fixtures ending in draws.
At First Ground, Diengpasoh strolled to victory in Group F with Banpynkmen Kharsati (19′, 38′, 41′) netting three goals. Dikwes Kharumnuid (21′) and Suktang Baino (58′) were the other scorers for Diengpasoh, while Letningthiang Kipgen netted one for Mawkasiang in the 29th minute.
In the early fixture, also at First Ground, Mawphlang SC and Pommura SC played out a goalless draw in Group F.
Later, at Third Ground, the game between Risa Colony SC and Riatsamthiah SC in Group E finished 1-1. After a goalless first half in the 70-minute match, Tonewest Mawiong bagged the lead for Riatsamthiah in the 40th minute with the equaliser provided by Balajop Lapang (70’+2) in stoppage time.
