Shillong, Jul 6: The Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2024 witnessed four matches played today in Polo, with three of the fixtures resulting in victories for New Challenger SC, Madan S&CC and Umiew Maw U Sam SC. The other game was a draw.
At 1:45PM, at First Ground, New Challenger edged Mawlyngngad SC 1-0 with a stoppage time goal through Lambok Mylliem Umlong (70’+3) in Group B.
At the same time, at Third Ground, Pynthorbah SC and Them Rangshken ACC played out a 1-1 draw in Group D. Stambok Kurbah (11′) put Them Rangshken in front only for Rishan Nonghyndah (22′) to equalise in the first half itself.
Later, at 4PM, Madan S&CC blanked Mawlynrei SC 2-0 in Group C at First Ground. The scorers were Rodrygo Sympli (37′) and Anderson Nongkynrih (48′), with both goals coming in the second half of the 70-minute match.
At Third Ground, Umiew Maw U Sam celebrated victory by the same 2-0 scoreline against Mawnianglah Youth SC in Group B. On this occasion, Billistar Sun (23′) and Emmanuel Rongrin (39′) scored on either side of half time.
