Shillong, Jul 13: Thynroit SC and Madanrting SC played out a 3-3 draw in the only match of the day today in the Shillong Sports Association’s U-20 Fourth Division 2024 at Third Ground, Polo here.
The Group A contest saw Madanrting take the lead through Bankyrshan Ryndong (3′) early on but Arphrangstone Warlarpih equalised for Thynroit (8′).
Two more goals from Arky Kshiar (25′) and Banbunlang Thabah (29′) saw Madanrting sit comfortably on 3-1 in less than half an hour but the second half of the 70-minute match saw Thynroit fight their way back to level proceedings.
Arphrangstone pulled a goal back in the 40th minute and Charles Nongrum then scored a late equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time to ensure that Thynroit and Madanrting shared points.
Arphrangstone is now the top scorer of the Fourth Division with 6 goals to his credit.
There was no movement in the points table as a result of this match, with Thynroit staying in first and Madanrting third.
