Shillong, Sep 3: A brace from Stephanson Pale (40′, 43′) helped Jalapang SC to a 2-1 victory against Synroplang SC in the opening match of the 8th Invitation Knockout Football Tournament, organised by Wahiajer SC, yesterday.
Synroplang’s goal was late in the day, scored by Risuk Malngiang (80’+7). Stephanson was Player of the Match.
Umroi MLA Damanbait Lamare was the chief guest on the opening day.
The next match will be played on Wednesday between Nangbah Mulang and Dienchynrum FC at 2:30PM.
