Shillong, Sep 30: Banking on their top level players, Nongdawah SC trounced Najan Hi FC 5-1 at the 8th Invitation Knockout Football Tournament, organised by Wahiajer SC, today but only after conceding early.
Kamjuhi Phawa (4′) scored first for Najan Hi before an own goal three minutes later gave Nongdawah the equaliser.
Shano Tariang (46′, 68′) then scored a brace in the second half and there were also individual goals for team mates Nikelson Bina (20′) and Chanmitre Thma (79′).
Shano was named Player of the Match.
The next fixture will be played on 2nd October between Eastern Warriors and Brothers FC at 2PM.
