Shillong, Nov 7: Pohkseh SC held their nerve and secured a 2-1 victory against Umphyrnai SC in the Shillong Sports Association’s First Division 2024 at First Ground, Polo, here today.
Badonkupar Shadap (15′) and Reinjoywell Wartde (24′) struck in the quarter of the match for Pohkseh but Isharwell Mukhim (76′) pulled a goal back for Umphyrnai in the second half. However, Umphyrnai were unable to find an equaliser and were thus consigned to their fourth defeat in five games.
The win takes Pohkseh to fourth place with 8 points from five matches.
Tomorrow, fifth-placed Nongkseh SC will face leaders Mawtawar SC at 11:30AM.
