Shillong, Nov 19: 11 Deilang FC defeated Chaphrang Iong i FC 5-4 in a penalty shootout after regulation time ended 2-2 in the pre-quarterfinal round of the 8th Invitation Knockout Football Tournament, organised by Wahiajer SC, today.
Manbha Iawphniaw (9′, 41′) scored twice for 11 Deilang, while Francis Mukhim (20′, 79′) registered a brace of goals for Chaphrang Iong i before the tiebreaker was required.
Manbha was subsequently named Player of the Match.
The next pre-quarterfinal will take place on 25th November between Thadmusem SC and New Shillong FC at 1:30PM.
