Shillong, Dec 18: Four hat-tricks were scored in the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League 2024 today as PFR Academy, Lumparing SC and Smit SC won their respective matches at First Ground, Polo, here today.
PFR romped to a 10-0 victory against Madanrting SC in Group A with goals by Nisilia Majaw (25′, 26′, 30′, 42′), Ridalin Suting (28′, 33′, 35′), Cynthia M Umlong (56′, 59′) and Juba M Lyngdoh (69′).
It was only slightly less one-sided in the second match of the day, this time in Group B, when Lumparing beat Nongrim Hills SC 9-1. Fragrancy Riwan (2′, 6′, 48′) and Iaphisha Marbaniang (8′, 55′, 70′) scored hat-tricks for Lumparing, along with a brace by Marbarin Nongrum (4′, 35′) and one goal from Sidaris Khongwet (29′). The name of the scorer for Nongrim Hills was not provided in the SSA update.
Lastly, Smit scored once in each half for a 2-0 win over New Challengers, also in Group B. Nishalin Nongrum (21′) and Makrisha Songthiang (62′) were the scorers.
