Shillong, Dec 19: Thangskai Tigers SC lifted the 4th Kyrmen Shylla Contribution Trophy of the East Jaintia Hills District Football Association’s Super Division 2024 by beating Dhana CSC 1-0 in the final in Khliehriat today.
Solmon Sympli scored the lone goal of the title match in the 69th minute.
The Tigers had finished on top of the tournament’s round robin stage and justifiably took ultimate glory in the final today. Besides the trophy, they were also awarded Rs 1 lakh in prize money.
Dignitaries present on the occasion were Khliehriat MLA Kyrmen Shylla, Sutnga-Saipung MLA Santa Mary Shylla, Justine Dkhar, Lasky Rymbai, Finelyness Bareh, Additional Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills Gautam Warjri, Phransis Swer, Violet Lyngdoh, Streamly Nongjop Suchen, District Sports Officer Stephanie Rapsang, officials of the West Jaintia District Sports Association and Saipung Block Sports Association and Waheh Shnong and Shnong Secretaries.
A memento by way of felicitation was also presented to national referee (Level 5) Batbitbha Bareh and other officials.
