Shillong, Dec 23: Nisilia Majaw and PFR Academy set new scoring records in the Shillong Sports Association’s Women’s Football League in a 25-1 victory against Mawpat SC at First Ground, Polo, here today.

Today witnessed the last of the group stage matches, with Rangdajied United also winning 5-0 against New Challengers, while Lumparing SC defeated Smit SC 2-0.

Laitkor had broken the record earlier this month but PFR today surpassed that by a long way, with Nisilia (5′, 18′, 20′, 21′, 29′, 33′, 35′, 37′, 41′, 48′, 50′, 55′, 68′, 70′, 70’+1) as many as 15 goals alone in the Group A match.

The other scorers were B Kharsyntiew (4′, 8′, 10′, 41′), Juba Merry Lyngdoh (2′, 21′), C Mylliem Umlong (12′), A Basaiawmoit (32′) and Lalfamkimi Lai (38′, 64′). Lost in all of this was Mawpat’s lone goal from Shimtiful Kharrngi (63′).

Later, in Group B, Rangdajied pumped five against New Challengers with goals by Eiladki Ksoo (2′, 42′), Inrila-i-dor Khongthaw (10′, 62′) and J Kharmuti (68′).

Group leaders Lumparing then defeated Smit 2-0 with a brace for Fragrancy Riwan (12′, 57′).

Even before today, PFR had been confirmed in second place in Group A, behind Laitkor. Rangdajied and Smit were fighting for second in Group B but the former came out on top thanks to their victory and Smit’s defeat.

The top two teams from each group have qualified for the semifinals. Both of those matches will take place on 27th December.

Laitkor will take on Rangdajied at 11:30AM that day followed by Lumparing against PFR Academy at 2PM. The final will then take place on 30th December.
