Shillong, Jan 2: Ehrngiew FC defeated Ryntih FC 2-1 in the opening match of the 1st Invitational Football Knockout Tournament 2024-2025, organised by the Seng Samla Mawmluh Smit, on 31st December.
Ehrngiew took the lead in the 18th minute with Banlum Kharsyntiew’s goal but this was cancelled out 10 minutes later by Pynbha Suting’s equaliser for Ryntih.
Banshanlang Nongdhar then provided the winner for Ehrngiew in the 58th minute.
Pynbha was named Player of the Match.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by the Sordar Shnong of Smit, Dr Pynshongdor Lyngdoh Nongbri, and others executive members were also present.
The next match will be on 6th January between Smit SC and YBSC Shella at 1PM.
