Shillong, Feb 15: Nongtraw Wahlong FC edged YBSC Shella 1-0 in the second semifinal of the 1st Invitational Football Knockout Tournament 2024-2025, organised by the Seng Samla Mawmluh Smit, yesterday.
A solitary goal by Willbert Marbaniang (5′) was all that separated the two teams.
Nongtraw Wahlong goalkeeper Rajat Paul Lyngdoh (pictured left) was named Player of the Match and received his award from Syntem Kamwamut Nengnong, General Secretary of Smit SC.
Meanwhile, the organisers announced yesterday that the final has been rescheduled and will take place on 18th March at 1PM. Nongtraw Wahlong will meet Meghalaya Police in the title match. MLP had beaten Ehrngiew FC in the first semifinal earlier this month.
