Shillong, Feb 20: Ram Gurung put in an all-round effort to lead his side Rangkynsai CC to victory by three wickets in their match against NFU in the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25, organised by the Shillong Cricket Association, here yesterday.
The Group B match began with NFU batting first after winning the toss and they made 191/6 in the allotted 45 overs, with Shubham Rasaily making 66 from 119 deliveries, while Ayushman Das contributed 46 from 63. Ram bowled 9 overs for 3/44, bettered only by Ajay Duhan, who returned figures of 3/21 in 9 overs.
In reply, Rangkynsai made 195/7 in 44.3 overs, with Ram hitting 67 from 85 balls and Kishan Lyngdoh 35 from 38. Neetesh Sharma managed 3/31 in 9 overs, while Hasin took 2/32 in 9. Ram (pictured) was named Player of the Match.
Today’s match is between Lumpyngad CC and Sputnik CC, beginning at 8:30AM.
