Shillong, Mar 22: Nongmensong CC defeated Sporting CC by 42 runs in their Group A match of the Shillong Cricket League Super Division 2024-25 here yesterday.
Nongmensong won the toss and batted first where they were guided by Jaskirat Singh Sachdeva’s 113 from 117 deliveries to post 231/5 in their allotted 45 overs. Arpit also contributed a handy 42 from 63 balls.
In reply, Sporting were restricted to 189/9 in 45 overs, despite Pawan’s 55 from 72 and Sachin Kumar’s 48 from 73. Himan bagged 2/26 in 9 overs for Nongmensong.
Jaskirat (pictured right) was named Player of the Match.
